This page is for an updated list of the work that I am currently interested
in doing on my 3000gt. I may or may not do any or all of these projects,
because of time and money constraints. But if I had all of the time and
money in the world, this page would be a list of everything that I would be
working on.
- DONE -- Replace my FPR
I obtained a new OEM FPR from 3si for $25 shipped and must replace my current
malfunctioning FPR. Currently I am getting 45 psi with the FPR vacuum line
unconnected, and ~41psi with it connected. This should be closer to ~35psi.
- Complete the install of my SAFC2
Even though I am running an all stock system, I would like to install a SAFC so
that I can practice tuning my engine. I figure this is easier than installing
a ton of new parts and changing all of the variables at once. Right now I will
install the SAFC and see if I can lean out just a smidge without getting knock.
If I can, then I will buy slightly larger injectors in prepartion for bigger
turbos some day.
- Gut my front pre-cat
I have a spare downpipe on my workbench, but it's bolts are very rusted. I will
have to use my new 90 degree angle grinder to cut the bolts, gut the pre-cat,
install new bolts, cut the bolts on my current exhaust, and swap the two. This
will also fix the hole in my downpipe that I have had forever.
